6th Takshila Grand-Prix Chess Challenge

11th - 13th July 2008

Venue: K.R. Manglam World School, S-Block, Greater Kailash-2, New Delhi.

The format:
Format and regulations of Delhi Grand-Prix for Children

1. There will 10 tournaments besides one super tournament in one year.
2. The events will be open to only School children only.
3. For team championship score of Best four players of the School will be considered.
4. The tournaments will be played under rapid chess rules with 25 minutes to each player in five tournaments and one hour each in remaining five. The Super tournament with selected and invited players will be played with 25 minutes.
5. The prize money for the 10 tournaments will be as under:

Prizes: Top 10 trophies and cash prizes. Special prizes for the best girl and youngest Participant.  Top 3 trophies in each category to the school teams of U-10, 15 & 19.

Cash Prizes:

1st Rs. 2500/-, 2nd Rs. 1500/-, 3rd Rs. 1000/-, 4th Rs. 800/-,
5th Rs. 700/-, 6th-10th Rs. 500/- each

Arbiter’s Choice Prize (For Best Conduct during the Tournament)

1. Reporting time on 11.07.2008 at 4.30 pm
2. Ist Round on 11.07.2008 at 5.30 pm
3. IInd Round on 11.07.2008 at 7.30 pm
4. IIIrd  Round on 12.07.2008 at 11.00 am
5. IVth Round on 12.07.2008 at 12.00 pm
6. Vth Round on 12.07.2008 at 2.30 pm
7. VIth Round on 12.07.2008 at 4.30 pm
8. VIIth Round on 13.07.2008 at 10.30 am
9. VIIIth Round on 13.07.2008 at 12.30 pm
10. IXth Round on 13.07.2008 at 3 pm

Prize Distribution Ceremony:   5.30 pm

Entry Fees: Rs. 150/-

This tournament is open for school students only and one school team will consists of 4 players.
